Throwing Knives For Beginners

If you want to be a pro at knife throwing, then learning the basics is important! Knife throwing for beginners can teach you everything from how to throw safely and properly, to understanding different styles of knives.

The first thing that a beginner should know about knife throwing is how to throw safely. There are two different styles of throwing, overhand and underhanded (also known as backhand). Overhand throws require more accuracy than underhanded throws but if you're just starting out it's best to start with an underhanded throw.

There are different types of throwing knives, and which one you choose is based on a mixture of preference and skill level. 

A beginner might want to start with a lighter throwing knife that's heavier on the blade. These knives are long and relatively light weight which makes them easier for beginners to throw accurately at targets in close quarters.

If you're ready for more of an advanced challenge, then it's time to move on up to a knife that's heavier on the handle.
